one of my favourite things about wandering
through the orchards in winter
is discovering birds nests.
it is kind of like a treasure hunt and brings me such joy.
there is something about them that is so charming.
simple and complicated at the same time.
a sweet reminder of last spring and summer,
their little nests are so perfect and rugged and beautiful!
i marvel at how resourceful the birds are.
i am so happy they love the farm too…
i love all the twine in this nest.
in the delicious orchard earlier this week!
soon we will find eggs in new nests.
